Experiments with Flex Effects




I have experimented a bit with Move and Fade effects in the example above together with the setInterval function. The gallery is of course dynamic, e.g. photos can be added via XML. If you ‘d like to have sth similar, just drop me a line (niels dot drobek at rwth minus aachen dot de).

Before I continue with presenting the prototype, I just want to point you to Dan Harrelson’s post, who also lists Flex as means for prototyping, just in case that you think that Flex might be too unhandy for prototyping. He says:

Flex – dynamic number of arguments

A quite nice feature of Flex that I came across recently is the …rest parameter in as3. You can specify some parameters. Because of the …rest parameter, you can pass additional parameters as many as you want. But the …rest must be placed at the end:
