Experiments with Flex Effects




I have experimented a bit with Move and Fade effects in the example above together with the setInterval function. The gallery is of course dynamic, e.g. photos can be added via XML. If you ‘d like to have sth similar, just drop me a line (niels dot drobek at rwth minus aachen dot de).

 

Shaking login with Flex

Mac user should now the shaking login screen, when they accidentally mistyped. Windows user can have a look at this video on Youtube. Something similar can be done with Adobe Flex, try to login below:


 

Project 52 with Adobe Flex’s states and transitions

Project 52 is based on the 365 day picture idea, where Mk is participating, e.g. with this photo. I used his material for a small demo of Adobe Flex and how to work with states and transitions:


At first, place an Image tag somewhere into your application:

 

Some JavaScript play around

fade photo | show photo

This short JS example just shows a small fade effect. I know that you would usually use some kind of JS library like jQuery or the like, but sometimes you don’t need that kind of blow up of your code, because you nedd just this simple effect. On the other hand, to learn a language, it can be good to do some things on your own.
